Checks run client-side, one request per surface, with a 5-second timeout. A 2xx response means up. A 5xx or timeout means down. A non-fatal status (e.g. 503 from the waitlist when Supabase isn't configured yet) shows as degraded. We don't run third-party uptime polling because the only thing we care about is whether you, looking at this page right now, can reach us.
